| i started a new painting.
i went on a road trip to roz's homeland with three of my best friends,
and we read a book called "the bridal wave: a survival guide to the
everyone-i-know-is-getting-married years". thank you betsy.
i could have sworn i saw a black chicken walking down the sidewalks of chicago. it was a plastic bag.
i made dinner twice this week.
i didn't have to go to work today until noon, so jenna and i ate mcgriddles for breakfast...freakin' yum.
i had a conversation with a middle-aged woman on the bus yesterday
about her beautiful bracelet and how she wished she was taking classes
at north park.
i had a conversation with the bus driver yesterday about how poorly bus drivers are treated.
i've eaten banana bread with a little butter, microwaved for 14 seconds every day this week.
i went to church on good friday and it changed me.
i am told every day by my favorite 3-year-old that she likes me 10 minutes after she frowns at me and tells me to leave.
i wore my favorite shirt today.

| who would've guessed that i actually love having the apartment to myself for a few days? not me, but i do. (not that i don't love and miss zoe and jenna, because i do.) i biked a lot today; to work and to the lake; and it was wonderful. it was ridiculous how many people were hanging out by the lake, though. i forget how many people live in the city...we all come out of their little dwelling places when it warms up and take over the green spaces until they're almost overcrowded. my new favorite song to do dishes to (and do many other things to) is"gotta understand" by jurassic-5. i listened to it 4 times in a row the other day. | | |
| i may have had the flu or i may have been drugged. either way, i'm just starting to feel better. thanks for taking care of me, everyone. you're really wonderful. so yeah, i'm not going biking anymore because my brother and sister-in-law decided they didn't have enough money to go when they were planning, so they're driving to santa cruz instead of riding. but i still have that itch to spend some time with minimal other people and minimal stuff. i want to hike and camp and make my own food. maybe i'll do that in belgium. seriously, if you have this itch, too, we should go somewhere for a while. it doesn't even have to be far, just remote. | | |
| i just bought my temporary home--a kelty solo tent woo! *edit* sucks to be me, i guess. due to insufficient funds, christina isn't going anywhere until after zoe's wedding. belgium, anyone? backpacking/road trip/bike trip? eh? anyone? | | |
| life is good. i feel like such an adult...having a routine and all. leaving in the morning at the same time and coming home in the evening at the same time. after that, every night still feels a little like college, as lindsay pointed out as we sat around the little tv watching 24 and eating brats the other night. i'm going to camp this weekend. so is j.p. so everyone's in for a treat. man, i love that place, i can't wait. speaker guy tim, j.p. and jen in the same place...this is going to be hilarious. i'm excited to see everyone i haven't seen in a while, too. it's time for bed...girl's got a j.o.b. | | |
